Community Impact

The Junior League of Florence has spent 71 years working for the Florence community but this year we are working to Help First. Help First will be our motto for the year and we are going to work hard to make a difference in our beloved community. We are partnering with Savannah Grove Elementary School to help their students by donating school supplies, books and reading to their students.

OUTREACH

Signature Project
The Junior League has partnered with the Children's Museum of the Pee Dee for the next five years to provide $25,000 towards their goal of creating a place where our children can play, learn and grow.

WBTW Treats for Kids
Held at Halloween, Treats for Kids provides handicapped/disadvantaged children with a barrier-free environment in which they can trick-or-treat.

Cookies and Cocoa with Santa
Cookies and Cocoa with Santa is a community-wide holiday event sponsored by The Junior League. Held each year at the Durant Children Center, the event offers children holiday treats as well as photos with Santa!

Pee Dee Heart Walk
Junior League members volunteer their time at this regional event to help raise funds to fight heart disease and stroke.

Provisional Project
Each year the Junior Leahue of Florence's provisional class chooses a project to benefit the Florence community.

Foster Care Closet
The ladies of the Junior League provide gifts for foster children during the winter months and volunteer their time to attend and assist at the annual Foster Care Christmas Party. Donations come from Active, Provisional, and Sustaining members.
